If I have to face the fact that it’s fall, and that my bold and colorful wardrobe gets a little darker, then I’m just going to go with it and wear black and grey a little more.
I’ve actually toned down the amount of black I wear. Last year, I wrote a post about my style comfort zone, which at the time, consisted of purchasing and wearing a lot of black… Nothing wrong with wearing black (I think it’s probably the most flattering color on anyone), but my clothes looked the same, and it was becoming boring if I’m being honest.
But one thing I haven’t deviated from wearing are button-up shirts. Part of my mom uniform, I love how simple it is to put on a mom shirt, I mean dress shirt, and call it a day. The ruffle revival trend going on in fashion right is one I’m fully supporting as this shirt from Forever 21 is becoming one of my favorites.
But, I will be back to wearing colors soon. Fall wardrobe shopping sucks – I don’t like bulky sweaters, being cold or having to wear a coat. However, I don’t have much of a choice in some of latter… Hoping to share more colorful ensembles soon! I still haven’t figured out my Thanksgiving outfit. Since this is our first holiday in our new house, I’ll be hosting, and freaking out at the same time.
