Fact: Overalls are not just for toddlers.
In fact, I haven’t even put my sons in overalls… Yet.
As for me, I own three pairs of overalls – one blue denim, one black denim, and then the first pair I ventured into overall territory with – polka dots! Talk about easy dressing, I love that I can put these on with a t-shirt, and still look pulled together on days when we’re doing stuff with the boys. And I have no shame about dressing like my 2 year old sons.
I’ve received so many compliments wearing these polka dot overalls from Forever 21 – which actually reminds me of something Kate Spade would design. I love how the pants portion of the overalls fit like joggers but aren’t completely loose. Plus, they have pockets!
Overalls lend themselves to being dressed up with heels for a more tailored look, casual with menswear-inspired oxfords or loafers, or pairing them with sneakers like Converse or Vans for a sporty feel. Depending on the pair of denim overalls I have on that, I usually lean towards oxfords like the ones I have on from ASOS or wear ankle boots. The style of wearing a jumper like this is really versatile, and one that I think is super mom-friendly when it comes to getting dressed, looking stylish and also being able to play with your children.
