I guess you could say I’m happy that Primark, the UK-based retailer that offers fashion on trend for prices that make you faint, is now in Freehold, New Jersey.
To understand Primark you have to experience it… which until a few weeks ago, meant unless live in Boston, Connecticut or New Jersey, you had to get a on a plane and shop the store across the pond. And don’t even think about getting your credit card out for some online shopping – they are strictly brick and mortar. So if it sounds like I’m gloating… I am.
Primania, the condition of obsessing over just how ridiculous the store is – is real, my friends, and I’ve had a case of it since 2008, when I first visited England and discovered the mecca that is Primark. The retail chain is a fashion wonderland of accessories, clothing, makeup, accessories, random tchotchkes and more that you will want to play in.
What makes the store so appealing are the prices. Giving you all the feels, you will probably not be able to contain your excitement when you pick up a dress, and see the $10 tag on it. And if you’re wondering, the prices in the Freehold, New Jersey Primark store are just as comparable to the U.K. prices (taking into consideration pound/dollar conversion rates). For me, it was a nostalgic shopping trip that made me giddy to see a familiar place that brings something that I love from England stateside.
The Freehold Primark store was stocked with a generous blend of summer and fall clothes. I appreciated that they didn’t shove summer in my face, but rather, let me build up my wardrobe in anticipating for the next season, which meant $10 jean leggings, $10 shoes (originally $25) and lots of silk blouses fell into my shopping bag, along with some things for my sons (they have children’s clothing).
I have to admit, my Primark haul is pretty impressive. I can’t wait to wear everything, and to of course, show you what I bought! Stay tuned for more Primark on House Of Jeffers as I will definitely be a repeat customer to the Freehold, New Jersey Primark store!
